The Macau International Airport along with the Guangdong Airport Management Corporation and China Southern Airlines co-organised this year’s 6th China Air Cargo summit 2009 in Guangzhou. Normally you would not associate Macau with Air Caro but it is an important part of its commercial mix and, because of its geographical positioning, has potentially great importance.
The summit attracted more than 200 air cargo professionals and discussed ‘exploring China’s Competitive Cargo Market and the rising of new freight carriers,’ as the joint-venture air cargo companies will be more active in China’s air cargo market.
Macau Daily Times reporting from the conference said it was focussed on how, with the global economic environment worsening, profitability could be maintained.
